Eyes Open!!

These three litters are between 2 and 3 weeks of age now! Everyone’s eyes are opening and the older ones are beginning to notice the world around them. All the mamas are doing really well, and babies are right on track. Looks like a couple of the dapples might end up with some blue in their eyes but I won’t know for sure for awhile yet. Eyes are always very dark blue when they first open, and within a few weeks most will turn to brown which is standard for the breed. Some chocolates will get a hazel color. And some dapples will get blue or blue streaks if the dapple gene landed on the iris.
