Playing Catch Up

Wow, have the last six weeks been a whirlwind!! I’ve been totally MIA from the blog and page recently. Between school starting, holidays, camping, major renovations, cheer practice, garden harvest, and dog sweater (etsy) season, I’m running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I keep thinking “oh just another couple weeks and things will calm down”, but then I remember we’ve got anniversary, birthdays, holidays, and MORE renovations to do 🤦‍♀️🥴 I think it’s going to last clear through till the new year.

Okay so let’s play catch up on the exciting Doxie related stuff goin on around here. Next week Marigold will have her ultrasound to determine if the stud service was successful. Fingers crossed!!! IF she took then she is due at the end of October. Meanwhile, we’re waiting on Katniss to cycle any day now for a repeat breeding with Albus. Followed by Cupcake and Emerald who may be ready before years end.

The waiting list opens October 1st. It will be open for a mere three days. The application will be posted on the main menu of the website. If you have previously book-marked the puppy application page you’ll find that is not the correct url, it’s just a stand in for when our app is not active. You’ll need to go back to the main menu and click the fresh link to the application on October 1st after 9am.

If you’ve been following along you know that this summer I brought on three new females to grow out to be future mums. Well I’ve got one more addition on the way but it’s a BOY! We had the opportunity to provide stud service to a female that was sired by our foundation male Dash several years ago (also via stud service). That makes her a half sister to Gizmo, so she was paired with Albus and the results were four handsome little boys. I could not pass up the rare chance to have another little piece of Dash in my program so I chose my pick of the litter and he will join our family in the hopes of being a future stud. If all goes to plan he will end up the main stud after Albus and Gizzy reach retirement age.

Finally, the Doxie Suite is almost actually finished. It’s been a slow process because we are so wildly busy, but we’ve been picking away at it all summer. All that is left to do is waterproof wall panels and trim.

Okay so now that we’re all caught up we can hopefully resume some regularly scheduled programming 😅 If you have not yet signed up for our monthly newsletter please feel free to subscribe below. It’s full of pupdates and lots of fun little doxie tidbits. Sent out on the last day of each month.
