The Waiting List Opens!

These days my waiting list ranges 200-250 members. However, I only have a handful of litters per year. This can sound discouraging to some, but it’s important to remember that not everyone actually vies for the same litter. Many have preferences like color, coat type, or even the time of year. I do not keep my list in numerical order, I do not accept pre-birth deposits, and my list is more frequently closed than open. I also conduct an annual “clean up” to remove parties that lost interest along the way or adopted elsewhere but forgot to unsubscribe. All of this helps to keep the average wait time pretty reasonable.

Here’s the good news! Today is opening day!!!

You can now apply to join my waiting list for future litters. This application will be available until the morning of the 17th, and I have no current estimate as to when the next opening will be.

Please visit the Adoption Application page to complete the process.

A brief explanation of the adoption process after joining the list is as follows.

Puppies are typically reserved within days of their birth. Everyone on the list will receive an email announcement each time a litter is born. That email contains pictures, info, and instructions for how to proceed. Puppies are then reserved in the order of reply, 1st response gets 1st pick and so on. Those that do not respond, or do not claim a puppy in time will remain on the list for next time. You may unsubscribe from my waiting list at any time.

More details about the adoption process can be found on the FAQ & Policies page.
